DOCENTS AND/OR SURVIVOR SPEAKERS
Volunteers are needed to teach the history and lessons of the Holocaust. The HMLC is looking for volunteers to serve as docents who have the following qualifications:
- Flexible schedules (weekdays, evenings, and Sunday)
- Must be willing to work with diverse populations, including children and adults
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of European history, World War II, and the Holocaust is desirable, but not necessary.
Training will be provided.
Volunteers are needed to help transcribe testimonies on tape for the Oral History Project. Transcribers will review and tupe transcripts from the oral histories of Holocaust survivors who live in St. Louis. Training will be provided. However, transcribers should possess the following qualifications:
- Flexible schedules
- Good grammar skills
- Good listening skills
GENERAL VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES
Volunteers are sometimes needed in other capacities such as general office help, phone calling. However, these positions are currently filled. If you are interested in becoming one of our valued volunteers contact the HMLC at (314) 442-3711.
The Museum is open to the public and free of charge.The HMLC is located in the Kopolow Building on the Jewish Community Campus in Creve Coeur, Missouri.
