Family-friendly film, ‘Freedom Writers,’ is the next film in the Sandra and Mendel Rosenberg Sunday Afternoon Film Series.

Multiple Oscar winner Hilary Swank stars in this “based on fact” film about a young teacher who uses Holocaust history and literature to inspire her at–risk students to learn tolerance, succeed academically and build self esteem.

Introductory remarks and a post screening discussion will be facilitated by Daniel A. Reich, Curator and Director of Education, HMLC.

Films in this Sunday series are free and open to the public. Rated PG 13, this film is appropriate for families with children 13 and above.
